CONNECT started with a vision to connect students to life beyond graduation so that the transition from campus to community is as seamless as possible.

CONNECT looks to complement knowledge acquired in university classrooms and professional environments by providing a practical, professional job shadowing experience in an environment that expands global understanding and enhances  English communicative skills.

CONNECT provides short-term medical, education and other professional exchange programs to the U.S.

Participants are recruited from various universities and professional circles.

How Does It Work?

Step 1

Learn More

Read about our services to learn more. Then determine what your specific needs are (Ex: Rehabilitation), and when you might be interested in our programs (Ex: Winter or Summer).

Step 2

Contact Us

Contact a CONNECT representative to discuss the program in more detail and assess your needs. The representative will help you decide on your next steps. We encourage you to ask lots of questions!

Step 3

Apply

Complete the online application. Once received, a CONNECT representative will schedule a video interview with one of our staff members. The interviewer will ask questions about your interests and needs, assess your English skills, and determine if our program is the right fit for you.

Step 4

Prepare

If you are accepted into our program, a CONNECT representative will work with you to sign a contract, make financial arrangements, advise on travel and visa needs, and provide a program orientation.

Step 5

Go!

Travel to your destination in the U.S. Your host family will greet you at the airport and provide you a detailed schedule for your stay. Meet with professionals in your field of study/work and experience many wonderful aspects of American culture!

Step 6

Debrief

Upon your return, a CONNECT representative will follow up with you to discuss your experiences with the program. We hope every aspect of the program exceeds your expectations, and we're always looking for ways to improve our participant's experience.

A Message From Our Executive Director

I have had the privilege of living and working in China since 2002. During this time, I’ve taught thousands of students on Chinese university campuses. My goal has always been to impart knowledge and skills that would give them the best chance of success in the future.

As I interacted with students, I began to discover the limitations of the classroom. Students who were about to graduate felt inexperienced and ill prepared for the next stage of their lives. My desire to see them succeed brought me to think of how I could take the life-changing experiences that have helped me be successful, and give them to students across China.

Those thoughts have led to the establishment of our company, which provides students opportunities to develop professional skills, expand their worldview through firsthand experience, improve their English through immersion and acquire life lessons that lead to success.

I’m positive that our programs are true investments into the lives of students, and will improve their confidence and success when making the transition into life after graduation.
